Fine & fruity, reminiscent of fresh cherries and sour cherries, delicately underlaid with a fine herbal spice. Elegant, ripe berry fruit on the palate, soft tannins from ageing in large and small oak barrels. A versatile food companion with plenty of harmony and drinking pleasure.
Food recommendation: Ideal with pasta, light game dishes, traditional Hauerjause with smoked meat and slightly chilled in summer with a BBQ. Alternatively with strong fish and vegetable dishes au gratin.

The roots of the Zöhrer winery and family go back 750 years to the time of the Babenbergs.
We work consistently to exploit the potential of the great vineyards, which are among the most important in the Krems Valley. For it is there, in the terroir of the vineyards, that the strength of the Zöhrer winery lies. Most of the vines were planted by the grandfather and father 40 to 100 or more years ago. The focus is on the varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The wines have an unmistakable profile, are characterized by their origin and enjoy international appreciation.
