Rinke Weine - organic cultivation on shell limestone and slate
In 2006, the newcomers, Marion and Alexander Rinke, took over vineyards at a location in Brüderberg in Langsur that almost no one knew at the time." In the Galgenberg is called the steep, partly terraced area of 2.5 ha between hedgehog and Wasserbillig (shortly before Luxembourg). An abandoned gem on shell limestone, with great potential. The duo has revived this previously Elbling-planted gem, completely cleared and replanted with Chardonnay predominantly old Burgundian genetics and a few additional vines (including white, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewürztraminer).
The Moselle, one of the oldest wine regions in Germany, is world-famous for its elegant and mineral flavours. Rieslings. The steep slate slopes along the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer rivers characterise the terroir and create ideal conditions for white wines full of character with lively acidity.
In addition to Riesling, Elbling and Pinot Blanc are also grown. Historic wine villages such as Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach and Cochem invite you to enjoy romantic wineries and impressive cultural landscapes. The Moselle combines excellent wines, breathtaking landscapes and a long tradition.
