2022 St. Andreas Wießburgunder Steingrube GG

This wine comes from the In der Steingrube vineyard. This is one of the prime sites within our Andreasberg monopole vineyard. This pure south-facing site surrounds our vineyard and forms a unique terroir with its southern exposure and weathered granite soil. The oak aromas are present, no wonder, as the Pinot Blanc matured in new tonneaux barrels. Very dry, but with a very exotic nose. Papaya. Tangerine and a hint of the finest yoghurt cake. On the palate, the Pinot Blanc is opulent and deep, yet not fat. A bit like a long-distance runner in a pink outfit.

Recommendation: Serve at 7-12 degrees Celsius. It can be enjoyed on its own or with poultry, morels and porcini mushrooms - simply deliciously cooked Baden cuisine.
