Discover our estate wine Riesling - a dry Riesling from the Saar that will seduce you with its fine aromas and subtle slate minerality. With its initially restrained nose, this wine will arouse your curiosity and gradually unfold its enticing aromas.
The Schiefer Riesling presents itself in a light, golden hue in the glass and entices with a bouquet of yellow fruit accompanied by a hint of nutmeg. The aromas combine harmoniously and give the wine an enticing and appealing note. However, it is the subtle slate minerality that gives the Riesling additional depth and complexity. As soon as the wine touches the palate, its full splendor unfolds. The fruitiness here is rich and fleshy, with the aromas gradually evolving from yellow fruit to zesty grapefruit notes. This development makes for an exciting taste experience that is supported by a hearty acidity. This acidity brings a pleasant freshness and gives the wine a typical Saar quality. It also presents itself with a cool, mineral finish that refreshes the palate and engages the senses. It is a real pleasure how the wine slowly fades away, leaving behind a subtle hint of cinnamon and vanilla that sweetens the finish.with its balanced aromas, fine fruit and mineral note, it is a real treat for all lovers of high-quality wines. This Riesling from the Saar is an excellent accompaniment to a variety of dishes. It goes well with light salads, grilled fish or poultry as well as more exotic dishes. For somewhat spicier dishes, e.g. from Asia, we would recommend our Mineral Riesling feinherb. Treat yourself to this fine wine and let yourself be enchanted by its complexity.

GREAT WINES FROM THE SAAR.
At the estate, the centuries-old wine culture is close enough to touch: in the spacious park of the winegrower's villa, above the huge vaulted cellar, under the old trees, surrounded by hydrangeas, roses and lavender, you can enjoy the excellent Riesling and Burgundy wines from our vineyards with all your senses.
We live and work from and with nature, it is our most important asset. For us, the preservation of the cultivated landscape with its steep slopes means responsible, conscious, nature-oriented cultivation - in addition to the practice of "gentle pruning", this includes above all the renunciation of insecticides, acaricides and herbicides.
Our wines are vinified just as carefully as we treat the vineyards throughout the year and the grapes during the harvest. All wines are fermented by natural settling and using wild yeasts in stainless steel and in large wooden barrels from the Stockinger cooperage - deep down, in our always cool slate cellar dating back to 1924. As a team, we develop our wine style in the tension between the two divergent sites of Herrenberg and Bockstein: typical of the Saar, accessible, clear in expression with elegant, ripe acidity.
