The aromatic structure of the Baikenkopf reveals fresh citrus fruit perfectly complemented by a hint of white peach. A spicy component emphasizes the characteristic minerality of the mountain location, which, together with the charmingly integrated acidity, rounds off the wine perfectly and gives it a lingering, long finish.
Site: The steep south-facing slope receives optimal sunlight due to its gradient of up to 60%, which warms it slightly. Medium to deep - stony, mostly lime-free - soils are composed of weathered slate, phyllites, quartzites and loess loam.

Wines from the best sites
A unique cultural heritage, the best locations and the highest quality standards: these ingredients make our wines a special experience.
The vineyards of Weingut Kloster Eberbach cover almost 230 hectares in the Rheingau and on the Hessische Bergstrasse. The vines for our wines and sparkling wines grow on this terroir - sustainably and carefully produced, always with the demand for the best quality at an international level.
The history of Weingut Kloster Eberbach goes back just as far as the history of the cultural monument itself: Even for the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century, winegrowing was one of their main occupations. What was initially intended for their own consumption soon developed into a sought-after commodity that secured the future and prosperity of the monastery.
