This wine presents itself with a striking herbal-fresh note, reminiscent of a fragrant fennel meadow. The aniseed aromas lend it an intriguing spiciness, while the white pepper gives the wine a tingling sharpness. A hint of green apple brings a pleasant freshness and a light acidity that refreshes the palate.
Site: The steep south-facing slope receives up to 60% sunlight, which warms it slightly. Medium to deep - stony, mostly lime-free - soils are composed of weathered slate, phyllites, quartzites and loess loam.

The history of Weingut Kloster Eberbach goes back just as far as the history of the cultural monument itself: Even for the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century, winegrowing was one of their main occupations. What was initially intended for their own consumption soon developed into a sought-after commodity that secured the future and prosperity of the monastery.
