The Neethlingshof 1802 Collection Cabernet Sauvignon flows into the glass in a dark ruby red. The first vintage of this new collection impresses with its inviting aroma of blackcurrants and cedar, which is harmoniously balanced by earthy tones. Full-bodied yet wonderfully fresh on the palate, this red wine, whose grapes come from a single vineyard, delights with notes of spices, cherries and cloves. The Neethlingshof 1802 Collection Cabernet Sauvignon matured for eighteen months in French oak and has great development potential. However, this multi-layered wine is already a great pleasure and is an excellent accompaniment to aromatic dishes with dark meat or grilled chicken with a herb crust. Pasta or mushroom risotto with cheese are also a good choice with the Neethlingshof 1802 Collection Cabernet Sauvignon. The name of the new collection is a reminder that Charles and Maria Marais completed the estate's wine cellar in 1802, laying the foundations for Neethlingshof's success story.
