2018 Mizzole Valpolicella DOC Superiore

Aromas of wild cherries as well as undergrowth and roasted aromas on the nose. Round and soft on the palate, yet fresh and beautifully balanced.

Authentic, full of finesse and elegant are the three words that best describe this Valpolicella from the small village of Mizzole. Unlike the modern version of the Valpolicella Ripasso, this wine presents itself from the traditional and delicate side, almost Burgundian. The aromas are dominated by sour cherry, red currant and woody notes reminiscent of undergrowth and moss.
The rather ethereal aromas are underpinned by a grippy tannin and rounded off by a soft acid structure and subtle smoky aromas.

Grape variety: Corvina 60%, Corvinone 25%, Rondinella 10%, Oseleta 5%

Ageing: 55% in oak barrels and tonneaux for 9 months
Taste: dry
Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Acidity: 5.7 g/l
Residual sugar: 5.0 g/l
