Our family has lived in Ingelheim am Rhein for 8 generations. We have been working organically for over 40 years out of deep conviction.
Our leafy estate is located in the heart of Nieder-Ingelheim, right next to the outer walls of Charlemagne's historic imperial palace. The estate was founded in 1819 by our ancestor Johann Baptist Werner.
Organic by conviction
Our 18 hectares of vineyards are located in traditional vineyard sites in Ober- and Nieder-Ingelheim, Gau-Algesheim and Ockenheim. The warm, calcareous Ingelheim drifting sands and hydrobial limestone soils create an ideal terroir for dense and intense red wines of international stature. But delicate, self-confident and harmonious white wines also benefit from these unique soil conditions. Almost all the grapes are harvested and selected by hand. Strong qualities throughout, from playful estate wines for every day to high-quality, mineral single-vineyard wines in the top segment. Each wine reflects the characteristic qualities of our vineyard sites and the craftsmanship of our winemaking family.
