A hint of tobacco on the nose, complemented by ripe pineapple and pears; develops a beautiful strong spiciness on the palate, walnut and honeydew melon on the finish. Velvety, fine-meshed palate with a loosening piquancy. A great wine with great ageing potential.
Food recommendation: Risotto with prawns and parmesan as well as with fine sweetbreads; also with mushroom dishes, roasted saddle of veal with Zöhrer walnut pesto, spicy dishes with wild herbs, pink roasted meat with a strong sauce, mature cheese.

The roots of the Zöhrer winery and family go back 750 years to the time of the Babenbergs.
We work consistently to exploit the potential of the great vineyards, which are among the most important in the Krems Valley. For it is there, in the terroir of the vineyards, that the strength of the Zöhrer winery lies. Most of the vines were planted by the grandfather and father 40 to 100 or more years ago. The focus is on the varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The wines have an unmistakable profile, are characterized by their origin and enjoy international appreciation.
