Year

A harmonious blend of spicy notes and subtle red berries. The structure is still youthful, but impressive, and makes for a full-bodied experience. The finish is long-lasting, compact and impresses with its exceptional depth and dynamism.

Location: "Höllenberg" is derived from the old German "helda" (= steep slope). The soil of the vineyard, which is up to 65% steep, consists very homogeneously of violet-colored phyllite slate. The 17 hectares of the vineyard lie within the historical boundaries of the Höllenberg site, which are among the best parcels of the Höllenberg. These are located in the valley incision facing away from the Rhine with a pure southern exposure.

Grape variety: Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir)

Classification: VDP.ERSTE LAGE
Taste: dry
Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
Allergen information: Contains sulphites.

Bottler, importer: Hessische Staatsweingüter GmbH Kloster Eberbach, 65346 Eltville

Wines from the best sites

A unique cultural heritage, the best locations and the highest quality standards: these ingredients make our wines a special experience.

The vineyards of Weingut Kloster Eberbach cover almost 230 hectares in the Rheingau and on the Hessische Bergstrasse. The vines for our wines and sparkling wines grow on this terroir - sustainably and carefully produced, always with the demand for the best quality at an international level.

The history of Weingut Kloster Eberbach goes back just as far as the history of the cultural monument itself: Even for the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century, winegrowing was one of their main occupations. What was initially intended for their own consumption soon developed into a sought-after commodity that secured the future and prosperity of the monastery.
