2023 Abtsberg Riesling GG

The GG from the Abtsberg shows the typicality of the site particularly clearly. The nose is reminiscent of ripe fruit such as apricot, peach and yellow apple. Nuances of wet stone, wild herbs and white flowers hint at the complexity of the wine in the glass. The scent of green tea and woodruff give it its unmistakable character. On the palate, it is slender and extremely precise. It displays beautifully ripe fruit that is in perfect harmony with its salty minerality and delicate acidity. Orange zest and Williams pear, paired with lemon balm and a wonderfully ripe salted lemon on the finish. It leaves a creamy yet juicy mouthfeel. A very slender, elegant but at the same time extract-rich wine with fine grip and depth.
