2021 Rubesco

The wine is fermented at a controlled temperature (26€C) in steel, with maceration on the skins for 15 days, ageing 1 year in barrel and 1 year in bottle after light filtration. The wine has a deep ruby red color with light violet reflections. The nose is delicate and of good intensity, elegant complexity with hints of pepper, cinnamon and tobacco, with a background of red and violet jam. On the palate, it has a solid structure and excellent concentration, developing with fresh acidity, firm and balanced tannins with a fruity and slightly mineral finish. Focus: Perfect everyday table wine as well as for fine dining. DOC since 1968, it is the most widespread of the Lungarotti wines worldwide. Curiosity: Rubesco is a Lungarotti trademark derived from the Latin rubescere, (to blush with joy).
