2021 Petra

It has an intense and brilliant ruby red color. On the nose, it envelops intense aromas of ripe fruit such as blackberries, black cherries, plums and a hint of blackcurrants, accompanied by subtle spicy notes of black pepper, roasted coffee and violet aromas. Pleasant balsamic notes, such as liquorice, reminiscent of the Mediterranean scrub, appear in the wines of our region. Graphite can also be found on the nose, which introduces the mineral flavor we will discover during the tasting and which comes from the soils rich in skeletons and minerals of the metalliferous hills. On the palate, the wine presents a fleshy fruit, rich in lively and velvety tannins. The aromatic complexity persists and harmoniously combines fruity and spicy notes. The long ageing in barriques gives the wine depth and roundness, while the use of partly new and partly used barriques helps to balance the wood so as not to dominate the wine's profile, but rather to emphasize its complexity. A full-bodied and tasty wine, balanced by a lively acid freshness and rounded off by a beautiful taste.
