The Meczan is a very typical Pinot Noir, which is characterized above all by its softness, its distinct aroma and its clear fruity character. Lively ruby red in color with light garnet reflections. Fresh, animating bouquet with seductive notes of wild berries and cherries. On the palate, the Meczan is very harmonious and extremely juicy with intense fruity notes. Pinot Noir was first successfully cultivated in Trentino-Alto Adige at the beginning of the 19th century. It soon became apparent that the gentle hills and the unique microclimate of the high plateau in Mazon offered the ideal conditions for producing Pinot Noir of international stature. As a family and winery, we have a tradition with this grape variety that goes back over a hundred years. Today, we grow Pinot Noir with great success in the best sites in the region. Conglomerate of clay, limestone and porphyry soils. The grapes are 75% destemmed, 25% enter the fermentation tank intact. Fermentation takes about 10 days, during which time the must is kept in constant contact with the grape skins.
