2021 Leoville las Cases

The Leoville Las Cases 2021 is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc and has a deep garnet-purple color. It needs a little swirling and coaxing to reveal a pronounced core of cassis, sour cherries and mulberries that gives way to a fragrant undertone of farmland, charcoal, violets and cedar, as well as a hint of Szechuan pepper. The medium-bodied palate delivers impressive, tightly wound layers of black fruits and minerals, framed by ripe, fine-grained tannins and wonderful tension, with a long and perfumed finish. All minerals and flowers - very pretty!
