2020 Riesling Rüdes. Schlossberg Rheingau GG

The Riesling Berg Schlossberg begins ripe and powerful, has something dark and mystical in the nose, smoky and almost stony, some bacon pear and orange, with air herbs come to it, cool mint, some sage, give a lot of air then the Schlossberg really opens up and becomes more and more complex. A delicate start on the palate, delicate structure, appears finer and brighter than on the nose, a firm core in the background, white peach, some grapefruit, a slightly tart touch comes through and gives it length.
