The Nero d'Avola grapes for this wine are grown on high hillsides. Its primary aromas, which never show signs of over-ripeness, distinguish it from wines made from the same grape variety in warmer parts of Sicily. Maturation in barrique barrels of varying degrees of ageing imparts soft and elegant tannins, so the wooden character is never overpowering. Lamùri, Sicilian for love, gives it its name, the same love that Tasca d'Almerita puts into its processing.

Tenuta Regaleali – Sicilian wine art with tradition
and passion
Tenuta Regaleali is a traditional winery in the heart of Sicily, owned by the Tasca d'Almerita family for over 200 years. Alberto and Giuseppe Tasca are now the eighth generation to run the family winery and continue what has always been a trademark of the family: preserving tradition, creating space for innovation.
Known for its unique combination of history, terroir and innovation, the winery cultivates a variety of autochthonous grape varieties such as Nero d'Avola and Grillo. On the extensive hills of the Tenuta, wines are produced that reflect the characteristic climate and diversity of Sicily. With passion and a sustainable approach, Tenuta Regaleali produces wines of exceptional quality and authenticity, embodying the essence of Sicilian viticulture.
Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, is an up-and-coming and at the same time traditional wine region of Italy. The sunny, dry climate and the volcanic soils – especially around Mount Etna – offer ideal conditions for wines with a strong character. Sicily is particularly known for autochthonous grape varieties such as Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Catarratto and Frappato.
The combination of modern techniques and thousands of years of winemaking history makes Sicilian wines sought after worldwide. Diverse landscapes, sustainable viticulture and a strong terroir profile characterize the region.
