ORRE DE ONA | Rioja AlavesaThe Torre de Oña winery has been part of the La Rioja Alta S.A. group since 1995. The winery owns exquisite individual vineyards in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa sub-region. The mainly Tempranillo vines were planted in 1987 and cover a vineyard area of around 44 hectares. Only the estate's own grapes are used and harvested by hand. The wines are matured in American and French oak barrels from the winery's own cuvees. The premium Martelo wine is decanted by hand every 6 months by candlelight.
