Concerto was launched on the market in 1981, when the great untapped potential of the wines was recognized. At the time, winegrowers were experimenting with new grape blends, including non-indigenous grape varieties. This gave rise to the so-called 'Super Tuscans', of which 'Concerto' is one of the forerunners and most important representatives.
