Pommard wines are considered the densest and most mellow reds in Burgundy. The 1er Cru Faiveleys is no exception. It is certainly the "plumpest" of the wines from this top winemaker, full of fruit and berry scents on the nose, and this melting sensation is also found on the palate. These wines are often too "fat" for Burgundy purists, but everyone else can enjoy this wonderful juiciness at its finest.
