2018 Tronquoy Lalande

The 2018 Château Tronquoy-Lalande comes from the Château Montrose team and comes from deep clay soils that are perfect for Merlot. It is an assemblage of 51% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Unlike Montrose, the yields here were healthy and above average. This deeply colored beauty is full of aromas of black cherry, black currant, damp earth and tobacco. Rich, medium to full-bodied, rounded and layered, with a sexy style, it has ripe tannins, exciting purity and a great finish.
