2018 Les Hauts de Smith Rouge

It is still one of the best second wines on the market and its value for money for pleasure is still outstanding! As the second wine of Château Smith Haut Lafitte, Grand Cru Classé de Graves, the Hauts de Smith is vinified in the same magnificent underground cellar as the Grand Vin (which itself was rated 95 points by Robert Parker). This vintage has a beautiful, shiny, dark red robe. The nose is expressive and elegant with notes of red fruits, spices, vanilla and flowers. On the palate, the attack is fine and creamy with a beautiful tannin structure. The palate is already very pleasurable (round, harmonious, well balanced) and leads to a finish of beautiful length, which is very fresh and aromatic. This second wine will bring you as close as possible to this thoroughbred wine and at the same time take you as far away as possible from its price!
