A harmoniously round, fruity-sweet Auslese reminiscent of dried fruit and brown spices.
Only the ripest grapes on the vine were selected for this Auslese, some of which had already shriveled up. The result of this, an increased concentration of fruit, sweetness and acidity, is perfectly reflected in this viscous wine: the spicy characteristics of the vineyard with notes of clove, music, some tobacco and orange zest meet highly concentrated fruit aromas and a fine botrytis. Despite its density and intensity, the almost salty minerality is noticeable at all times, allowing the wine to be enjoyed with great ease over a longer period of time. Wines of this type are among the great specialties of the Moselle and can be kept almost indefinitely. The Laurentiuslay Auslese goes perfectly with cheese dishes with fruity chutneys, nuts and dried fruit as well as with ripe fruit desserts.
