Made from 100% Merlot, the 2018 Lagrange (Pomerol) has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and opens with subtle aromas of red and black cherries, baked plums and mulberries that give way to expressive notes of camphor, wild thyme, crushed pepper and damp earth. The palate is firm and grainy with freshness and restraint. It gives a glimpse of provocative, earthy layers to come and finishes mineral.
