2018 La Joie Magnum

Composed of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec, the 2018 La Joie displays an opaque purple-black color that slowly unfolds to offer deep notes of crème de cassis, preserved plum and boysenberry with hints of rare beef, pencil lead, black olive and lilac as well as a touch of fertile loam and crushed rock. The medium-bodied palate is stunningly elegant and balanced, with a solid backbone of firm, very fine-grained tannins and a bold freshness supporting the intense mineral layers of black fruits, and a long finish with plenty of spicy and floral notes. Simply breathtaking!
