The Cuvée Malbec from Pierrail is certainly something extraordinary for a Bordeaux, 1005 Malbec, you don't find that every day. And so this wine also has a unique selling point, it is spicier than classic Bordeaux, has more dark berry fruit and some leather on the nose, plus the warm, lush aromas of wood ageing. It is precisely this warm opulence that clearly distinguishes it from its more angular brothers from the Cahor. The perfect accompaniment to strong, full-flavored braised dishes.
