2018 Châteauneuf du Pape Colombis Magnum 1.5L

The phenomenal thing about this wine is that it has enormous concentration and warmth, while at the same time appearing cool and fresh. Only a few wines from the region have exactly this, and this is part of its greatness and distinctiveness. Working strictly organically in the vineyard, Isabel Ferrando adapts her cellar work perfectly to the requirements of the terroir. In this case, this means that she ferments the pure Grenache with stems and stalks in 600-liter demi-muids, barrels that have been used for several years. The wood plays hardly any role as an aroma carrier in her wines.
