On the palate, the Ca Marcanda Magari Rosso Bolgheri DOC is delicious with pure and intense aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries and blueberries. Strong tannins, well-integrated wood and the concentration of aromas result in a wine that is immediately drinkable but has enormous ageing potential. The Ca Marcanda Magari Rosso Bolgheri DOC matured for a total of 18 months in small barriques before maturing for a further 6 months in the bottle. Its ageing potential is remarkable.

Angelo Gaja is a famous Italian winemaker. He is known for his high quality standards, care in winemaking and a clear idea of a "Gaja wine".
The roots of the company lie in Spain (17th century). The Gaja winery was then founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaja , a grape producer in Barbaresco. Since the 1980s, the company has expanded its range of wines in other areas of Piedmont and Tuscany and now also produces Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino.
The current owner Angelo Gaja is known to have had a great influence on wine production throughout Italy with his oenological and economic methods. His wines are considered a status symbol on a par with Château Lafite-Rothschild or Krug.
