This 9.78-hectare vineyard is located in the town of Moulis-en-Médoc on the left bank of Bordeaux, where it is nestled between Château Poujeaux and Château Chasse-Spleen. The wine comes from the Grand Poujeaux vineyard and consists of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine has 14.5% alcohol and matures in 60% new and 40% second year barrels. The Branas Grand Poujeaux 2018 has a deep garnet-purple color and smells of currant jelly, fresh blackberries and ripe plums with hints of chocolate mint and spice cake. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, packed with vibrant red and black fruits, framed by rounded tannins and a spicy finish.
