2018 Anniversario 62 Primitivo di Manduria DOC

The grapes for the San Marzano 62 Anniversario Primitivo di Manduria Riserva come from selected vineyards in the municipalities of Marzano and Sava in the central region of the Primitivo di Manduria DOP. The Primitivo vines are at least sixty years old. The terra rossa soil that predominates here is calcareous and contains iron oxide. The climate is characterized by high temperatures throughout the year. There are large temperature differences between day and night. Combined with very low rainfall, these are the best conditions for strong grapes of the highest quality. The winery harvests the overripe grapes by hand.
