2017 Rotulo Branco

The 2017 vintage was characterized by a dry winter, with rainfall well below the average of the last 30 years. This was followed by a warm and dry spring with heatwaves that continued until the beginning of summer. The high average temperatures and the lack of precipitation meant that the vegetation phase was delayed by around 15 days - from budding to the change in color of the berries.
The weather conditions remained unchanged throughout the summer, meaning that the harvest began very early and was only of short, intensive duration.
Vinification: alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine was matured for 12 months in cement vats on the fine lees.
