2017 Cabernet Sauvignon To Kalon CCS

This "Schrader" label comes from Beckstoffer's To Kalon vineyard in Oakville and was produced from clone 4 of the C2 block (75%), clone 6 of the D2 block (12.5%) and clone 337 of the B2 block (12.5%). It consists of one hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon and was aged for 20 months in 100% new oak. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a deep purple-black color and pours from the glass with pretty aromas of cherry, black currant cordial, dark chocolate and candied violets with a core of warm plum and blackberry pie and a hint of garrigue. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showing plenty of mineral and earthy nuances among the layers of black fruit, supported by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness to finish long. 181 cases were produced.
