2017 Badette

The nose is fruity and offers both gourmandize and fine concentration. It reveals notes of crushed wild cassis, blackberry and wild strawberry, combined with subtle hints of fresh blueberry, vanilla, licorice as well as subtle hints of sweet spices and a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper. On the palate, it is fruity, juicy, balanced, slightly taut and offers beautiful definition, minerality, tension and a fine unctuosity. On the palate, the wine shows notes of juicy blackberry, juicy cassis and some blueberry, combined with a hint of crushed strawberry, subtle hints of vanilla, caramelization, fresh flowers (lily, rose), a hint of Sichuan pepper as well as fine notes of tonka bean/cocoa and coffee (in the background). The tannins are fine and slightly dry.
