By carefully examining and cataloging the different soils in the large Maternigo vineyard, Tedeschi was able to identify the areas that produce the best wines due to their composition and orientation. One of these is the Impervio vineyard, which owes its name to its steep slope. With its white and yellow marl, it is perfectly suited to producing a very fresh, balanced Valpolicella. Each individual vine is constantly monitored so that the ripening of the grapes can be followed on a daily basis. The careful selection of the grapes ultimately produces a wine that is fruity and spicy, combining good structure and concentration with sufficient acidity to allow it to mature well. Impervio vineyard in the Maternigo area, at an altitude of 400 m Terroir: fertile moraine soils, white marl with yellow, calcareous layers. Vinification: temperature-controlled maceration in stainless steel at 20-23°C for 20 days, malolactic fermentation, followed by ageing in 20/25 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 14 months and in the bottle for a further 6 months. Style: Fruity, dense bouquet with notes of cherry, plum and red currant as well as hints of vanilla and spices, elegant, ethereal, mineral, well-integrated acidity, beautiful freshness, balanced, very good structure and length
