2016 Hermitage Cru Les Bessards

Dense ruby red color with bluish reflections, bright in the glass. The bouquet is wonderful, aromatic, rich in intense fruity nuances. Notes of dark wall berries and fully ripe red fruits characterize the bouquet of this racy French red wine. Fine spice and pronounced roasted aromas round off the fruit of the Hermitage Cru Les Bessards. On the palate, the wine shines with a dense, expressive structure and a full body surrounded by fine tannins. The wine is juicy, powerful, elegant and full of finesse at the same time. A successful, great Hermitage with exceptional potential.

Recommendation: Serve at 16-18 degrees, open 1-2 hours in advance, decant if possible. Goes very well with fine meat dishes, grilled roast beef with sweet potatoes and a strong jus, spicy game ragouts or strong, mature hard cheese. Optimal drinking maturity 2018 to 2029.
