2015 Pinot Gris Grand Cru Kessler

This remarkable Pinot Gris (Pinot Gris) from the Grand Cru site "Kessler" (sandstone soil, in the middle of the site is a valley that protects the grapes from northerly winds and cold air currents) reveals an expressive, complex, deep bouquet on the nose. Aromas of flowers, yellow fruits, quinces, mirabelle plums, plus plum and a hint of fine liquorice. Wonderfully creamy on the palate, fruity with a fine mineral note. Impressively dense, with lively, well-integrated acidity, beautiful interplay of fruit with aromas of ripe apple, yellow fruit, mirabelle plums, prunes, dried fruit, sweet almonds and acidity. The wine is full-bodied with a beautiful mellowness and a long finish. A perfect Pinot Gris with finesse and class!

Recommendation: Serve at 9 degrees Celsius, goes very well with baked fish, light roasted meat, pasta with cream sauce and mature Munster cheese. We recommend drinking this wine until 2025.
