2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

The Poggio Antico 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (9,000 bottles will be released in January 2021) is a densely structured and rich wine with fruit-driven aromas and extra fiber. The wine shows the characteristics of this vintage, which will be remembered for its sunshine, warmth and perfect fruit. Each grape hung on the vine with glorious perfection. The warmth and intensity of the dark plum are certainly more pronounced here, but the spicy tones of leather, tobacco and earth also come into their own. The Riserva comes from the Il Vignone vineyard, 500 meters above sea level, where the summer breeze keeps the grapes healthy and ripe.
