Cardinale is a Napa Valley red wine that belongs to the Jackson family empire. The special thing is that although the Cardinale winery is located in the Oakville District, the fruit for the later top wine Cardinale is produced from different vineyards. The vineyards are located in the best appellations of the Nap Valley: Diamond Mountain District. Mount Veeder. Stags Leap. Howell Mountain. St. Helena. Spring Mountain District. For the Cardinale 2014 Proprietary Red Wine, the gifted Christopher Carpenter uses Cabernet Sauvignon from 11 different Napa Valley vineyards, which then represent 88% of the final blend. And 12% of the Merlot in the blend for the Cardinale 2014 comes from the vineyards of the Howell Mountain District. The wine is aged for 19 months in 100% French wood, with 94% new wood. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
