2014 Domaine de l'A

Domaine de l'A is the winery of wine consultant luminary Stéphane Derenoncourt and his wife, his equally experienced winemaking partner Christine. A stands for Amour, for example, or for adventure, as this project was created with a great deal of risk and idealism. The basis is a magnificent vineyard with old vines on the best clay-limestone soils in the south of the Côtes de Castillon appellation. Just next to top sites in St-Emilion, where Stéphane helped to shape Stephan Neipperg's wines (Château Canon-La-Gaffelière, etc.) Highly precise, intense wines, mainly from Merlot; from low yields. The cultivation is inspired by bio-dynamic ideas.
