This muscular, dense, purple-colored, powerful, rich 2008 offers notes of graphite, truffle, black cherries and blackberries along with moderately high tannins, full-bodied richness, impressive purity and a multidimensional mouthfeel. Give it 2-3 years of cellar time and enjoy it over the next two decades. It should prove to be one of the more long-lived wines of the vintage.
