The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS is clone 337 and has 14.5% alcohol. It is a relatively small cuvée of only 125 cases. This wine shows notes of underbrush, forest floor, fresh black and red currants, spicy oak, density, richness and a supple and velvety texture. This appears to be the most developed and precocious of the five cuvées and is likely to be the one most consumers will prefer to drink today. However, its ageing potential should not be overlooked as it certainly has two decades left in it.
