The Homburg Kallmuth Sauvignon Blanc "1102" comes from 25-year-old vines from the listed vineyard site and bears witness to the intensity of this south-west facing vineyard. This French-style wine is strongly reminiscent of Burgundy and offers an aromatic richness with notes of green apple, grass and hay, accompanied by a pleasant mellowness. This wine is unique and is only produced in good years, in very limited quantities. Its name, "1102", honors the year in which the Homburg Kallmuth was first mentioned in the history of viticulture. An exceptional pleasure that reflects the tradition and quality of our winery.

Traditionally, the Fürst Löwenstein winery produces almost exclusively dry wines. The Fürst Löwenstein winery stands for a wine philosophy that is characterized by the unique climatic and geological conditions of the family-owned vineyards, especially the famous Homburg Kallmuth with its steep slope.
400 years of princely winegrowing tradition. The history of our family and our wine stretches from 1611 to the present day. Back then, in the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, wine was of great importance. Huge quantities were produced and drunk. The Princes Löwenstein were a European noble house with estates on the Main and in the Odenwald, in Bohemia and Lorraine, in the Palatinate and in what is now Belgium. And they were also in the fortunate position of always having their own wine, with a winemaking tradition stretching from the beginnings in the town and county of Wertheim to Kleinheubach, where Prince Carl Thomas maintained a fabulous wine cellar in the 18th century. The upheavals of the Napoleonic era not only shaped the fortunes of the House of Löwenstein, but also created the conditions for the further development of viticulture in Franconia. During the German Empire, the top vineyards in Hallgarten in the Rheingau and the Kallmuth monastery vineyard, which had been cultivated since the Middle Ages, became part of the Löwenstein estate. The wines from the Rhine and the Main, brought together and matured in Kleinheubach Castle, which was built in 1725 according to the French model, today embody the European dimension of the history of the Princes Löwenstein.the Princely Family of Löwenstein looks back with pride on its successful winemaking tradition. It will be continued and further developed at the family's seat in Kleinheubach Castle. Wine enriches the present, and viticulture connects the past with the future.
Franconia - diversity and character in the heart of Germany
Franconia is one of Germany's most traditional wine-growing regions and is known for its distinctive, characterful wines. The region stretches along the River Main, where the continental climate and shell limestone soils give the wines their typical mineral note. The grape variety Silvaner takes center stage and produces particularly clear, expressive wines that are appreciated worldwide. In addition to Silvaner, Müller Thurgau, Riesling and Burgundy also thrive in Franconia. Whether in the typical Bocksbeutel bottles or as elegant drops in a glass - Franconian wines reflect the terroir and the passion of the winegrowers.
