An extremely elegant wine with a pronounced structure and a rich, multi-layered bouquet. On the palate, it is extraordinarily harmonious, enveloping, with pronounced fruity notes and finely balanced acidity. The grapes grow around the Barthenau winery at an altitude of 450m above sea level. The vineyard's location on a gently sloping hillside favors optimal ripening of the grapes thanks to ideal sunlight and good ventilation. Warm days and cool nights are a guarantee for high acidity levels and thus for the long shelf life of this wine. Only the "Vigna" classification guarantees the origin of a single-vineyard wine in South Tyrol. Soils: Conglomerate of clay, limestone and porphyry soils. To emphasize the fruitiness of the wine, the grapes are macerated with the skins for a few hours before pressing. After a light clarification, the must is fermented in large oak barrels. After fermentation and a first racking, the wine is aged for 15 months in large wooden barrels on the fine lees. The fine lees are stirred weekly. After bottling, the wine is stored in the bottle for a further 6 months.
