The Amarone that knows how to surprise. About the name "Marne 180": Marne means marl, the variety of soil on which we have planted our vineyards, 180 are the degrees of exposure of our vineyards, from southwest to southeast. This wine is made from grapes harvested in different vineyards on the hills of the Valpolicella area. Different sources and different grape varieties are important to obtain a balanced wine with the fine structure that only a few individual areas in the Valpolicella zone can offer. Soil: clay and limestone with strong vineyards: 20 years, cultivation: vinification. Harvest: End of September, beginning of October. Drying of the grapes in the storage structure of the fruit: controlled humidity 4 months. Soft pressing Alcoholic fermentation and maceration: 40/60 days/temperature 15€ C. Maturation: approx. 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Bottling and bottle ageing: 6 months. Description of the wine. Color: intense ruby red. Clear and transparent. Bouquet: notes of vanilla and ethereal notes depending on the ageing time in the barrel, notes of sweet fruits such as currants, blueberries, cherries depending on the grape variety.
