Power and elegance, year after year. Monte Olmi is the name of the vineyard in Pedemonte di Valpolicella, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. It covers an area of 2.5 hectares with a south-west exposure. The vineyard is terraced: The large slope ensures water loss during abundant rainfall, while the depth and the predominantly clayey structure allow water to be retained during periods of drought. In the 1960s, Renzo Tedeschi had the happy idea of vinifying the grapes from the Monte Olmi vineyard separately to create one of the very first crus of Valpolicella. Today, Monte Olmi is the symbol of the company and the territory. Soil: red, clayey and calcareous (30% of which is 5% active) Vineyard age: 20 years (average age) Vineyard: Pergola Trentino.
