2021 is the 50th vintage of Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, and a pretty cool one at that. The immediate freshness of this wine is proof of that. California sage and olive brine leap from the glass alongside the high-toned red berries and pink peppercorns that are classic for the site. The palate is herbal, savory, fruity and with a hint of baking spice, finishing with fine, lingering tannins. Medium body. Spicy on the finish due to the stems from whole-cluster fermentation.
