Beautiful notes of red and black raspberry, tobacco, plum sauce, loamy earth and lots of floral notes come from the 2017 Syrah The Tribe Vineyard, another dense, cohesive wine that will benefit from bottle aging. Medium to full-bodied, with remarkable freshness as well as plenty of underlying structure, it reminds me of Cote Rotie from the Cote Blonde lieu-dit with its incredible floral character as well as its seamless texture. Beautifully made and one of the standout wines of the 2017 vintage, give the bottles a healthy decant if you're drinking it anytime soon, and my money is on it benefiting from 2-3 years of bottle age and developing for 15-20 years or more.
