The Traisental wine-growing region is a seductive wine region with rolling hills, small vineyards, rustic wine taverns and idyllic cellar lanes. The geographical center of Lower Austria lies in its smallest wine-growing region, the Traisental wine region. Wine is grown here on 848 hectares, which corresponds to 3% of Lower Austria's wine-growing area.

3,600 years of winegrowing history are the fertile ground for the dynamic growth of Lower Austria's smallest winegrowing region. Predominantly young winegrowers characterize the omnipresent spirit of optimism, they run small structured businesses and have great visions. With strong solidarity, they are also working on possible solutions to react to climate change and are gearing their wineries towards sustainability.
