2021 Sauvignon Blanc

The Alinea Sauvignon Blanc is rich and structured with concentrated aromas of grapefruit, guava and granadilla. The spiciness and salinity are unmistakable. The fermentation and ageing in oak give it additional complexity. The finish is long and persistent.
The grapes were harvested in mid-February. Whole bunches were gently pressed. The juice was stored overnight in the tank before being transferred to barrels. Vinification and ageing took place in old 600-liter French oak barrels. The wine was aged on the lees for 6 months before bottling. The fruit was treated with respect to reflect its origins in St. Helena Bay on the west coast.
